How many grains of sugar are in a bag of sugar?
that's just like asking how many grains of sand are on a beach...... what you could do is... measure the size of a grain of sugar - width, length, height and times these together to find its volume. then empty a bag of sugar and fill it with water, until where the sugar reaches when filled. pour the water into a measuring jug - you now have the volume of sugar that the bag takes in cm3. the grains of sugar will have a few air spaces between them so take a rough guess at this amount - maybe 1-2cm3 now minus this from the volume of the bag. divide the volume of the bag by the volume of one grain of sugar. this will be an approximate figure of how many grains there are.

Why does the solution of water and sugar move up the straw in a tied baggie when put in water?
Osmotic pressure. The concentration in the bag is greater than outside the bag. Sugar molecules cannot pass thru the bag but water can. To try to create the same concentration inside and outside the bag water moves into the bag to dilute the solution inside the bag. This extra water now in the bag causes the liquid to move up the straw.

What are the difference between spot and futures market?
The spot market sells things for immediate, or "on the spot," delivery. The futures market lets you arrange to set the price of something now that you'll pay for and get later. Commodities users like the futures market because it lets them predict costs. If you make twinkles it's easier to calculate the price of them a year out if you know what sugar will cost a year out. The risk is sugar will be cheaper a year from now than your futures contract has it priced at; that's mitigated by the risk sugar will be really high a year from now and a box of twinkles that sells for $2.99 will have $2.98 worth of sugar in it if you didn't have a futures contract outstanding.

What happens if your horse is loose what do you catch him with?
I don't have horses now but i did have 6 when i was young and it was my task a few times to catch the horse(s) that got out. I typically lured them to me with a carrot or sugar cubes. This actually works best if you have already established a feeding ritual with these types of foods. Next time you go to bring your horse sugar cubes or carrots do the following: - as you approach the pen, get the horses attention and show them the bag of carrots. - rattle the bag so they hear what that bag sounds like. - let the horse sniff the opened bag of carrots/ sugar cubes. - finally, give the horse a carrot or sugar cube. Taking these steps will cause the horse to associate those SIGHTS, SOUNDS and SMELLS with one of its favorite treats. Before long you will notice that the horse will be giddy with anticipation as soon as it sees the bag you are holding. Use this trick to lure in the escaped horse. If you have any further questions about how this works, google Pavlov's Dog.

How do you make vanilla icecream?
You put 1 Cup of milk (or cream) into a ziploc bag. Next put 1/2 Cup of sugar into the same bag. After that pour 1 Tablespoon of vanilla (or just a Teaspoon, depends on how strong you want it) When that is done, seal bag, and put it into another bag of the same size. Then, put the bag into a large bag filled with ice and salt. Shake for 5-15 minutes. VOILA! Now you have ice cream! If you would like different flavours, use extract of any sort. (You can also use sundae or milk syrup.) Hope I helped! :) :D
