Ohk, well the basic summary of the March on Washington is as follows:
On August 28, 1963 there was a March on Washington. There were approximately 250,000 people who marched along side Martin Luther King Jr., James Farmer, A. Phillip Randolf, Ray Wilkins, and Whitney Young Jr. All these people had different motives. They marched for their civil liberties, the ending to racial segregation in public schools, protection against police brutality, and the passing of a law that stopped racial discrimination in public areas. During the March these men said their Famous Speeches. The results of the March on Washington were civil rights bills. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed after John F. Kennedy's death. This Act banned racial discrimination in public facilities and in voting rights. ©TeeJay
