Franklin Delano Roosevelt
It is known that pain in itself can actually cause depression. Fatigue from lack of sleep or the illness itself also contribute to depressed feelings.
Depression is a treatable disorder. See a specialist. Once you get it under control, school will take care of itself.
FRD said this during his first inaugural address on March 4,1933, and was speaking of the Great Depression, and its effect on the morale of the USA.
I think the question answers itself.
Puberty itself does not cause depression, but from the point that a female hits puberty on, she is more likely to become depressed. Women are twice as likely as men to experience major depression. Depression mainly occurs during adulthood (20-40), but depression in children is becoming much more common and being seriously considered by specialists. Depression in young women and teens is unfortunately common. More than 10% of the population is dealing with depression. It is believed women are more prone to depression because of the unavoidable hormonal fluctuations that happen during puberty and womanhood. Women are most prone to depression after childbirth, which is known as postpartum syndrome. For more information and help with depression see the link below.
The oath of the diggers was a saying that was impromptu upon the raising of the flag at Eureka, California during the gold mining days in 1854. The significance of this is that the flag raising itself cost most of the men their lives in the uprising that followed by men who were trying to take over the mine.
As of now, there's no evidence that the sun itself (in terms of UV ray exposure and such) causes depression. However, daylight may play a role in depression. There is a type of depression known as seasonal affective disorder (SAD) in which depression sets in usually during autumn and winter months because lack of light may throw off one's circadian rhythm (our 24-hour biological cycle). Light therapy is a biomedical treatment for SAD.
Depression can cause breathing problems by causing the person to go into a panic attack. Depression in itself, does not cause any type of lung disease that would affect your breathing.
Franklin D. Roosevelt, during his first inaugural address on March 4,1933, was speaking of the Great Depression, and its effect on the morale of the USA, when he said:"...the only thing we have to fear is fear itself..."
These were called Hoovervilles in honor of the then President Hoover. They were named so because of President Hoover's adamant position against the government injecting itself into the economy.
The most significant event was the Great Depression. Banks failed and unemployment skyrocketed. Hoover was a firm believer in "laissez-faire". It was the idea that government should have no involvement with the economy, and that it would eventually right itself. Because of the devastating effects of the Depression, most of the public disagreed with him. Everyone blamed Hoover for their misfortune. The next election, Roosevelt won handily, promising a "New Deal" for Americans. The Depression led to multiple government programs to help jump start the economy. The country went in debt to create the programs, such as Social Security, and the government has never stopped adding programs for the American people. It's important to note that The Depression ended because of World War II, not because of Roosevelt's "New Deal".
