Artemis Fowl

What was the theme of 'Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox'?

I think it has to do with dealing with consequences. If Artemis had never made the lemur extinct he wouldn't have had to go back in time, and if he hadn't gone back in time then he wouldn't have needed the the lemur. Oh, and there's a LOT of less emotional themes in the science of the book; mainly about time travel, and the different consequences for traveling through time.
