Professor Marvel was a humbug whom Dorothy Gale met during the Kansas sequence in the beloved 1939 film version of The Wizard of Oz. To entice his audiences, Marvel had his purported credentials emblazoned on the side of his wagon. He claimed that he was 'acclaimed by the crowned heads of Europe' for his skills as a fortune teller, juggler, slight of hand artist. In terms of fortune telling, he specified that he could tell one's past, present, and future by way of a crystal ball.

What is the name of Professor Marvel's horse in 'The Wizard of Oz'?

Sylvester is the name of Professor Marvel's horse in the beloved 1939 film version of "The Wizard of Oz."Specifically, the horse appears in the film's beginning sequences in Kansas. He draws the wagon in which Professor Marvel stores his possessions and from which he earns his living through juggling and sleight of hand. He is directed by the Professor to find shelter from the storm preceding the landing of the cyclone.

In the Wizard of Oz who was working on the wagon?

The title character ( it seems this guy could split, like Multiman in Hanna-Barbera tv shows) The wagon was a carnival wagon from a travelling show- Professor Marvel. He was using it as (as we now would say) a Field Office . Never liked the picture so not really interested. It is possible there are two different versions- one where he Received Dorothy in a Carnival wagon, the other, in the Palace proper. seems there might be two different versions.
