∙ 13y agoThe British used many weapons so it's difficult to select one as the most important - I have mentioned the gunboat as that was a conditioned reflex, almost an automatic response to certain challenges to their rule.

∙ 11y agoAs far as small arms go, the L85A2 is standard, accompanied by the L22A2 carbine. Some units have used the Diemaco C7 (Canadian variation of the M16 rifle), and the SAS have been observed using the HK416. Squad level fire support is provided by the L86 rifle and FN Minimi, while the L7 GPMG (British variant of the FN MAG) provides platoon and higher level fire support. As of late the L129A1 Sharpshooter rifle has been added to the list.
