Immigrants the the USA had a social need that work , safety and provisions could not provide. As new people in a strange land they sought to keep their ethnicity by living around peoples from their home countries.
The transportation revolution consisting of canals, railroads and many other ways to get across the globe contributed to the influx of immigrants.
Beginning with diseases such as measles and smallpox brought over by Europeans when they came to colonize, such as measles and smallpox, yes immigrants bring diseases with them when they come to America. In fact, diseases brought along, intentionally and unintentionally from Europe have killed off many of the native peoples in many parts of the world.

The Dillingham Flaw is the term given to the misconceptions and negative reactions to immigrants in the early 1900s.
Different people have different reactions, it ranges depending on the way you were brought up, society, friends, family and your religious views.
People : " Holy balls, that's alot of dead guys..."
Because it's fun to see their reactions.
I had sheer goosebumps the entire movie. It was amazing, I <3 it!
Except for the native peoples, everybody not born in Canada was an immigrant. There are many millions.
Its important to view reactions, because only about 70-80% of communication is verbal, meaning that you are gong to be missing out on a large part of communication if you aren't paying attention to peoples facial and bodily reactions.
Whether a catalyst is present or not, Concentrations of reactants, Temperature, Pressure (but this is least likely to affect rate)
Governments implemented immigration restrictions and quotas, as well as assimilation policies to manage the influx of immigrants. Social reactions included nativist movements, discrimination, and instances of xenophobia towards immigrants. However, there were also efforts to provide support and assistance to help immigrants integrate into their new societies.
Go to a mall and speak in your own language (neither of you have to understand it) and look at peoples reactions.
