Contrary to popular belief, Adolf Hitler had no intention or even a wartime objective of world conquest. Instead, he wished for Germany to expand east under his policy of 'lebensraum', or 'living space'. This goal was to provide large swathes of land of which the German people would live in. This was one of the National Socialist Party's ideological aims, to provide each citizen of the Greater German Reich much personal land. Eastwards of Germany, much of the population of these countries were the Slavic peoples, Jews and many other ethnicities the Nazi ideal thought inferior. These Slavic countries (of which Poland and Czechoslovakia are part) were the primary objectives of Hitler's expansion.

While the territory of Alsace-Lorraine was also a possible territorial acquisition, the Nazi government saw this as either unattainable without a prolonged war with France (and ultimately Britain) or attainable on a later date through negotiation with France. Territorial expansion of the Third Reich was not limited to the east. Places like Switzerland was home to ethnic Germans and Germanic peoples who would be welcome as full citizens of the Third Reich. But these governments rejected the possibility of peaceful integration into Hitler's Germany and the Germans rejected the idea of invading, fighting and inevitably killing fellow Germans (this was one of the reasons why Nazi Germany did not invade Switzerland).

Only when the Second World War started did Germany expand westwards, though the occupations of the countries of Western Europe was only temporary, and a preferable outcome of this (if the Germans had won the war) would be the creation of friendly or puppet regimes that advocated similar right-wing, fascist or possibly even national socialist views. A hypothetical scenario of this would be a possible (though very very unlikely) occupation of the United Kingdom. Sir Oswald Mosley was a notorious fascist who also supported peace with Germany, and he would be the most probable candidate for a fascist Prime Minister of a friendly Britain.

That said, Hitler believed that war with Britain was an unlikely and unappealing concept. In his book "Mein Kampf", he detailed his admiration of Britain, the British people and their empire. Despite the fact that the United Kingdom had beaten Germany in World War One all those years ago, Hitler admired its achievements. The Anglo-Saxon ethnicity is a descendent Germanic people and so were considered by Hitler to be only slightly less than the Germans. Hitler also attempted numerous times from 1933 to form an Anglo-German alliance with British diplomats and proposed a "friendship between a land empire (Greater German Reich) and a sea empire (British Empire).

Rather than actual conquest of the world, Hitler envisioned a German supremacy in all the fields. An Aryan 'master race' and other Germans would dominate the ethnic and social aspects of life while cities like Berlin and Munich would become world cities. Welthauptstadt (world capital) Germania was an idea for the creation of Berlin as the centre of the world. Hitler employed numerous architects to design enormous monuments and beautiful architecture that would make Berlin the embodiment of German supremacy in the world. In effect, Adolf Hitler wished for Germany to become a superpower and 'claim its rightful place in the world'.

In conclusion, Hitler wanted a German superpower with territory stretching from the River Rhine to (possibly) the Bering Strait, as one of his ideological main aims was to bring about the destruction of the USSR. So either a victorious Germany would annex the Soviet Union outright or create a rump puppet nation east of the Ural Mountains. In a Germany-victorious scenario of the Second World War, the Greater German Reich would most likely be compromised of all of the Baltic nations (bar the Scandinavian countries), Czechoslovakia, Poland and the Soviet Union westwards of the Ural Mountain Range, and maybe the region of Alsace-Lorraine ceded from France. Possibly its colonies may be returned, but more territorial acquisition than this is extremely unlikely. The practical solution to a world dominated by Germany is the creation of a hegemony in Europe and Africa in the event of a victorious Third Reich. The view that Hitler did want to conquer the entire world including the Western Hemisphere and Asia is a meme that has been created by Hollywood and largely biased historical texts and has little truth.

Take over Europe, kill all Jews, gypsies, homosexuals and political dissidents. After Europe had been defeatd, his long term plans involved the rest of the world. I agree with the first sentence, but not the second. Hitler was born in 1889, making him 50 yrs. old in 1939. If he had won a peace, say in 1945-46, Germany would have had their hands full for the next 20-30 yrs. consolidating what they had won. He couldn't even conquer England, how's he going to invade North America. I don't think this lesson was lost on him. He was after western Russia only. The Ukrainian bread basket, to feed the Reich, the oil fields of Baku, for his military machine, and possibly before he died, Sweden (for her steel) and the rest of Europe with the exception of England.
