John Curtin served between 1941 to 1945 and is often considered our greatest prime minister. His greatest achievement that he is remembered for is leading Australia through the dark times of WW2. At this time Australia was at war in Europe and North Africa, at the same time they were defending there own shores against a Japanese invasion.
After Britain abandoned Australia and fled like cowards, John Curtin united the country and to the fight to our enemy.
