The Texas settlers revolted from the Mexican government mainly because of slavery....the Mexican government was completely against slavery and it was illegal in Mexico(Texas was part of Mexico at the time)....the Texas settlers disregarded this law and had slaves anyway, which infuriated the Mexican gov....when the Mexicans told them to stop...the Texans said they weren't slaves, just servants so it was illegal....so as a result of the Texans not listenening to the Mexicans...Mexico sent their entire army to Mexico to sort it all out...and what resulted from that was the Texas revolution
