Flutes can be made out of different materials. The better the material, the more expensive the Flute. One of the most expensive materials is platinum. This is extremely expensive! Sometimes, the mouthpiece/head joint (or both) is made from a better material such as silver, giving the flute a nicer tone. The rest of the flute would usually be silver-plated. A cheaper flute would be made from a material such as nickle. It may then be coated with silver, again adding to the quality of the tone.
Hope this helps :)
Bamboo
First they were wooden with holes instead of keys (Renaissance)
Then they became slightly more shaped but still wooden with no keys (Baroque)
Before evolving into the modern metal flute with open or closed keys
Old flutes were made of wood. Or often times bones of animals. The native Americans would use Indian bones.
Although many people would say "wood", actually, the first flutes were made out of animal bone.
some wood, and some of different types of metal such as brass.
The earlier flutes were made of wood.
Irish flutes can be made out of many different materials. Most of the Irish flutes are made of materials such as wood or bamboo, but can also be made from PVC.
The oldest playable flutes were made of bone. These flutes are over 40,000 years old, making the flute the oldest musical instrument ever found.
Do not know where they are made. Some Internet indications refer to Riverside, California. However they are pretty much beginner flutes. Cheaply made of nickel. Goos student flutes are silver-nickel or silver. Quite evident by the flutes weight and "tinny" sound.
They are made in a Yamaha factory.
Flutes where first invented in the early BC period. There is no specific dates
Flutes are normally made out of metal, but some that are used in Renaissance groups may be made of wood. The majority of metal flutes are made of silver, or gold-coated copper. The best-sounding flutes are made out of solid gold. The denser the metal, the better the sound it makes. Flutes can actually be made of anything..in the old times ppl used to make flutes aout of bamboo, wood, carved out animal holes or hollowed out sticks. modern flutes are usually made of steel, or silver ..there are very expensive flutes that are actually made up of gold.

What a Flute is made of depends on the type of flute. Most flutes are made of metal, and these are the ones you'll see used in an orchestra. But there are bamboo and other wooden flutes. Additionally, the recorder, a type of flute, is made of plastic and is commonly available (as are other plastic flutes).

Typically flutes are made of silver but early flutes were made of wood. Native Americans would usually take wood then carve it to create early early flute.
Medieval flutes were usually made entirely of wood. There were transverse flutes and beaked flutes. We do not see all that many wooden transverse flutes today, though they are made and sold for various kinds of music. Beaked flutes include recorders, which were used in the Late Middle Ages or earlier in a form very like what is widely available in music shops today.
