Also, once a military ruler had conquered large areas of land, they kept wanting to expand and conquer. They became very power hungry and blood thirsty. Thus creating emperors and dictators.

∙ 9y agoThe most direct answer to the result of Roman expansion was the creation, at its peak, to one of the largest and most sophisticated empire of its time in at least what was called the Mediterranean world and beyond. Eventually its expansion led to its fall in the Western half and its continuation of the Eastern half which became known as the Byzantine Empire.
