I'm assuming that this is a question about the Great War 1914-9 United Kingdom and her Empire France Russian Empire These were the Allies of the Triple Entente they were joined in 1917 by the USA

Hitler, Mussolini, and the Japanese (Germany, Italy, Japan), made up the axis powers. These were the attacking powers.

The countries that fought against Hitler included The French (until the fall of France in 1940), the British, the Soviets, the Americans (Who also almost single handedly defeated the Japanese). Also, the Allies included Australia, New Zealand, Canada, China, and several other small countries.

The Swiss were technically neutral, and helped Hitler, but this was only to remain non-conquered. Really, they supported the allies but were not able to show it very much.
