The Episcopal church or Church of England ( sometimes called High Church of England owing to formality of structures ( such as Westminster Abbey, etc) and the Episcopal church are the same. in past decades- Queen Elizabeth II had had personal audiences ( like political summits) with several Popes. I keep getting the idea that they ( Catholics and Episcopals) are planning some sort of link-up, rapprochement , or at least mutual tolerance band ( or Bund- llike theGerman use meaning federation- not a musical band!) This would be both good and bad. there is a Low church which has Ministers- and a High which has Priests, Bishops, and most of the Pomp of Pageantry of Rome. The Episcopals and Catholics have many points in common but the C.O.E. ( not the Corps of Engineers, also so-labeled) tolerates divorce and has different slants on some other vices and problems. a llink up is , well remotely possible.
