Abolitionists
They were called abolitionists.
Not all of the north thought slavery was bad and the people who were against slavery were in the north because the farms in the south needed them to tend fields and harvest cotton. Then if a slave escaped and became a northern citizen, they would obviously be against slavery.
No they thought slavery was bad that's how the civil war started but in the 1800s there was slavery in the north and south. The Union was anti-slavery.
Many many reasons. The main being slavery, however the taking of the Native American's land didn't help.
bad all people should be treated equal
No, they were not bad people. They thought that they were doing the right thing.
Of course it was bad, white people were rich on the backs of the blacks, black people lost their freedom when sold into slavery

He didn't like the idea of slaves and the south consisted mainly of plantations with slaves and the owners didn't want to have to pay for labor. The civil war was the main part of that, but that was around the 1860's. Not many southern people hate Abraham Lincoln now.
