No suit should be filed against your homeowners insurance but any liability suit would be filed against the homeowner themselves. At that point you would turn it over to your insurance company and they would take care of everything. The person suing would have to prove you were negligent for something causing damage to them.

What will happen if someone sues your homeowners insurance How will this affect me?

First the suit will not be filed against the insurance company but against you as the homeowner. Your insurance company will come in and protect you from the suit. This is covered under your liability section of the insurance policy. Your coverage includes legal fees in addition to the amount of coverage on your liability section.

Does homeowner insurance cover black mold?

Your homeowner's policy typically has what is called "all risk" coverage with specific exclusions. What is typically covered by your homeowner's policy is damage that occurs suddenly and accidentally. Since any kind of mold requires time to grow, it doesn't meet the "suddenly and accidentally" criteria. In addition, coverage for mold is usually listed in the exclusions of your homeowners insurance policy. Most likely, the reason for the specific exclusion is that mold can be prevented through proper construction, when using the proper materials and having proper ventilation. The only way I can see having mold removal covered by your insurance is if your home flooded and then it developed black mold before you were able to have the damage repaired. Review your homeowner's policy and talk to your insurance agent so you aren't in for any surprises should the unthinkable happen and you are faced with mold in your home.

If a licenced driver in your household has a DUI how will it affect your insurance rate?

Ask your insurance company, but I do not think that they will care about other people you happen to know or be living with. They're concerned about your own driving record.

Accidents happen. When something goes wrong, people want someone to pay for their loss. You can either pay using YOUR money or can use the insurance company 's money. This is why insurance is important to a contractor.

What will happen if you rearend someone with no insurance no damage done it was at 20mph no calling the police or their insurance they decide to see how they feel in a few days can they file claim?

Yes, they can. The fact that they have no insurance and the Police were not called has no bearing. If they do decide to claim for any injuries, your insurance company will scrutinize it, but not necessarily deny it.
