Best Answer

* Demonstrate ability to perform the tasks of the job

* attend work during the days and times scheduled

* if you do not know how to complete a task because you have never done it or never been trained, then ASK - your supervisor will be much happier to train you in doing it than assuming it was done correctly and then have to walk you through "fixing" the mistake

* ensure you know the duties of your job and who to report to

* follow-through on any tasks you are assigned

* document any tasks you completed in a notebook so if someone asks you when it was complete, you have a note of when you did the specific task in question

* communicate professionally and tactfully, take the high road if problems occur

also a few tips...

* do not have someone else call you off of work

* do not call off work unless you have a SERIOUS reason

* if you do have to call off work, be sure to notify the correct person

* if you do have to call off work, do your best to catch up and complete job duties as soon as possible upon your return to work
