Dry red
The choice of a wine for Thanksgiving dinner is a personal choice that should be based on what your guests like to drink as well as on the food and sauces being served during the meal. Often it is best to have both a white and a red wine on hand to serve. Pinot Noir and Geuwtraminer are good choices if the dinner is a potluck, as these wines tend to go well with a variety of dishes.
For after Thanksgiving - so you are looking for a desert wine? I like Port or a nice Canadian Ice Wine.
this Thanksgiving (2008) we enjoyed Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut.
Whites- Riesling based, Eiswein "Germany", IceWine " United States", Framboise " raspberry" Muscat, Sautern aka "Noble Rot" == == == == == == Seek a Riesling, a sweet dessert wine.

Little favors, but not gifts. When visiting a home of another for dinner, wine may be presented, but you must not think that the wine will be consumed at that dinner. The hostess has, no doubt, already decided on what wine, if any, to serve.
Generally, presents are not given at Thanksgiving. If one is invited to someone's house for Thanksgiving dinner, they may bring a gift, such as a bottle of wine, to thank the host and/or hostess.
the best wine which goes well with sea food are 1.REISLING 2.DRY FINO SHEERY 3PINOT NOIR
My opinion is for a nice dinner - wine is favorable. For a casual dinner - beer is the favorite. YMMV..........................
Red wine, such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, goes best with red meats like steak, lamb, and veal. White wine, like Vinho Verde (http://www.jmftwinvines.com/about-twin-vines-wine.html) goes best with chicken, fish, pasta, or anything made with a creme sauce.
