They mostly did cooking and cleaning. The men did all the other work .All the occupations that were in

the colonial times

were mainly for men to do.The daughter or a girl would help the woman cook and clean while the son or a boy would help the man.

Colonial women and young people had a lot of work to do each day. Women took care of the home, they cooked, cleaned, made clothing, and took care of the children. Young people took items to market to sell, helped care for the younger children, helped to clean the house, fed the animals, and helped with the crops.

well,woman wanted to join the war and help but the men thought that they should stick to there cooking,cleaning and taking care of the children,women had no rights intill one woman stood up for her rights and made the men change there mind about woman not joining the war.
