Clean the MAF. Then clear the code.
i have check engine light on code po171 system to lean i changed o2 sensor check engine light came back soon after, i heard that it could be fuel air ratio sensor, where is it located on 6cyl Toyota sienna, do you have any input thanks tony
P0171 System too Lean (Bank 1)
leaking intake gaskets...
Fuel injection system, fuel trim to lean (bank 1)
po343 is camshaft sensor 1 bad and po171 is bank1 sensor bad, in English po343 cam sensor is mounted on back of engine and hard to get to, the po171 is bank 1 o2 sensor easy to replace.
its obviously a bank two cam sensor poo11 is bank 1 remove and inspect for cracks 5 volt reference
PO171 = system adaptive fuel too lean (bank 1) PO174 = system adaptive fuel too lean (bank 2)
Trouble code P0171 means: Fuel System Too Lean - Bank 1 Trouble code P1135 means: Air-Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit Response Malfunction Replace the sensor and both code with go away There are 3 step to repair po171 error If you got po171 error then there is a 94% chance that your computer has registry problems. DTC PO171 indicates a lean condition, this is caused by the air flow meter located just behind the air filter on the intake tube, here is how to fix this trouble code: Remove the air flow meter and clean the very small platinum wires inside the housing of the af meter with an electronic circuit cleaner, it is important not to use anything else, you can get it any radio shack or electronics store, just spray it into the opening to clean the accumulated gunk off the wires, clear the DTC and you will be good to go, install a new air filter.
system to lean bank one 02 sensor ?
burn the car
po171--- system to lean (bank # 1)
first try cleaning your mass air flow sensor.
2000 ford lightning. P1540,po171.po174
everyone says po171 and npo174 are map sensor problems, i do not think so, the egr pressure sensor collects vaccum and tells computer about the egr , what i am finding ,especially in winter, the 2 hoses going to the pressure sensor get full of crud and the sensor cant read anymore.Today i found a 1997 ranger with po171 and po174 codes ,the hoses were fine but ice had built up inside the knozles of the egr valve pressure sensor causing it not to read.check hoses and look for vaccum leaks first. I concur with the vacuum leak. To find, spray carb cleaner around all suspect hoses and manifold areas with engine at idle. When the idle speed increases, you have found the vacuum leak!
Trouble code P0171 means:System too lean (bank 1)
If your code is PO171 or PO174 then there is a fuel delivery issue, If your fuel filter hasn't been replaced yet then do that first before replacing the fuel pump[The volume of sending fuel is insufficient]
Trouble code P0171 Means: System too lean (bank 1)
Not much info to go on but you could have a large vacuum leak in bank one.
po171-- system to lean ( bank one ).-this could be a vacuum leak, fuel pressure could also cause a problem. if a leaking vacuum hose you will hear a hissing sound from engine compartment. most of the problems can be corrected by just cleaning the maf sensor. you can buy a can of maf sensor spray at any auto parts store and just follow directions on can. on v6/v8/and v10 bank 1 is the bank that the # 1 plug is at. good luck!! i cleaned my maf sensor and it helped alot.
Code P0171 means System to lean (bank 1)
Have you had your 4 oxygen sensors replaced? It turns out when they replaced my oxygen sensors, they were after market parts so the service engine light did not come and gave codes even though they were replaced.
System to lean (bank 1). There is a good chance you have a vacuum leak under the hood.
