You need to be more specific about your problem. If it fails to crank, it could be it is not installed properly. Shims may be needed to make sure it engages the fly wheel gears properly.
If it cranks, but does not start, then there are many electrical problems that could cause this. This begs the question, did it run OK before replacing the starter?

Does your information center disappear when you try to crank. Do you hear anything happening when you try to start? You should hear the starter solenoid operate. A low or bad battery or the connections cause poor battery connection and poor charging also. Spray WD40 on all connections. Head lights work? - NO? Look at battery. Yes? Look at the 12 volts that must feed the starter solenoid when the ignition is turned to start. A cheapie voltmeter is a real useful detecctive in these type of problems.
