If the timing belt on a 2003 Cadillac CTS is skipping within days of getting it back from repairs after a severe front-end collision could the belt skipping be related to the accident?

Once the timing belt skips the engine generally doesn't run. While it is possible that a collision can cause such a problem, if the engine has not been damaged so that you can see a problem on the outside, nothing bad has usually happened.
