Mine did that about a year ago it was low on Transmission Fluid so I would try going to your local repair shop and having them check it out.
It may also be your shifter solenoid, which goes out on these transmission frequently.
what might cause the engine on a 2000 Isuzu rodeo to burn oil 1/2 quart of oil every 300 miles
Some causes for a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo to stop running include a lack of fuel, a bad battery, or defective spark plugs. There can also be a combination of issues which would need to be diagnosed by a mechanic.
they all lose oil dont fix it cause you cant it will always leak
Cause the battery to explode or damage the electrical system in the car.
Check the belt on your alternator. If it is not tight enough it will squeal on a Rodeo. Be sure to get it checked soon or your belt could fall off or burn up your alternator and then you are stuck!!
Trouble code P0401 means:Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected
you have lost your oil cap
A bad alternator will cause the fan blower not to work properly. Have the alternator tested!
Bad dash light, or dimmer fuse. Or a bad dimmer switch itself
DTC P1125: ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL (ETC) LIMIT PERFORMANCE MODE.
Its ur lifters I have the.same.prob one of.ur.valves isn't getting that much oil
It is either the fuse or relay. also check the heater/ ac control switch.
A flashing check engine light means that you have a problem with your engine that may cause harm to the catalytic converter.
First find where the 99 Rodeo is leaking fuel from. Check for loose or cracked fuel lines. The leak needs to be found before driving the vehicle, as the leak could cause a fire.
The last Isuzu rodeo Made was the 2004, I don't know why, but the single reason for me may be was the High and expensive cost of fuel, cause It was with only 6 sads cylinders and eats gas like an indigent when you say "there's free food on the Sirloin stokade..." in my recomendation the best model of Isuzu rodeo was the 1991 in line 4 cylinders with 2.6 I-tec Motor...good safer and cheap on gas and the best thing would be the car in standar transmission.
The check engine light on a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo could mean a failure in the ignition system has been detected or one of the cylinders has misfired. Hooking an OBDII code reader to the vehicle can determine the exact cause.
It could be from the wrong grade of fuel if it does it when it's under load, timing off, wrong plugs, or carbon buildup.
Lots of problems could cause the light to come on. First off, check your fluid levels; second, take it to a mechanic.
If it's knocking it's probably a rod going out - if it's ticking it could just be the valves - Rodeos are notorious for value noise...
... to accelerate.... to accelerate.... to accelerate.... to accelerate.
A dirty air filter will cause your automobile to not properly accelerate. A dirty fuel filter will also cause your automobile to not properly accelerate.
Check ABS system.
If the vehicle has over 100,000 miles on it, it may need a new timing belt and pulleys replaced. This may cause the engine to tick as it is moving out of timing.
low transmission fluid or your tranny could be going out.
