The 1995 Chevrolet Geo flashing amber engine light is an indication that the engine needs to be checked soon. A red flashing engine light is an indication the engine needs to be checked immediately.

Need to know the year and what you are working on. Ask your question again with this info.
would you consider working again for us
Need to know what you are working on. Year, engine size and what it is in. You will need to ask your question again with that info. Thank you.
turn it on again Well first of all don't panic. Then scream and get the hell out of the car.
check fuel pump fuel pump
Overheating ? - Check radiator for water and coolant, and engine for enough oil and not old burnt oil
Remove the battery cables for 5 minutes, should do it. Then the computer will reset and relearn after driving again. If a major fault was present before, it will return via the check engine light. If you need an inspection, then unhooking the battery for 5 minutes and driving maybe 20-40 miles and then going for inspection may do the trick. There is a small window where the check engine light hasn't come on yet and the IM monitors are mostly ready for inspection.....just before the check engine light comes on again. It will pass, in this window. But when the check engine light comes on again, it will not pass.
Not sure, it's been working on again off again for the past few days. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Of course you can, but the question is should you. The answer is, if you want to do some serious damage to the engine and eventually destroy it completely then keep driving it. Reason being is that the coolant will mix with the engine oil. This coolant is a poor lubricant and is very corrosive to engine bearings. it will cause severe engine wear. So stop driving this car immediately and do not drive it again until it is repaired.
No idea to be honest, but i have a 95 Corsica with a similar problem that will turn the Service engine light on after a while of driving highway speeds, or after reaching highway speeds and slowing down again. After getting the code read i found out it was for the EGR valve sensor. Basically meaning that its positioning fine at normal in town driving but not working as it should at higher speeds. Again i can't assure you this is a positive solution but i would recommend running your car as you would normally get on the highway and then while the light stays on going to AutoZone (They will run service engine soon checks for free) or a mechanic you trust. hope this helps.
It can cause the head gaskets to blow. This must be repaired before driving again. If really overheated, you can blow your engine. This would need replacing.
there is humidity in your engine control module
it's 20 + years old and needs to be replaced if you ever want to hear your favorite again while your driving.
It should end on January 31, and then again on June 20
If your engine is over heating it could get too hot and quit running, then start again when it gets cooled off. Otherwise, "something" got too hot and quit working, cools off and works again.
Using the diagnostic tool that reads the engine codes, clear out the codes and try reading it again. I had the same problem on my 97 geo metro. If the answer above didn't help, replace the O2 sensors, and retry the above answer.
the engine will run hot and eventually it will blow on younot true.. if you have no oil in your engine it will not last long enough to overheat... the force of the pistons moving will cause so much friction, add that to the lack of lubrication and your engine will seize up and never work again...
Check your brake fluid level, probably low,.............
check your timing belt
