my guess would be faulty brake caliper which could be stuck. best remedy is to take (have it towed) to your loal Honda dealer and have the certified tech examine your front brake calipers.
Hondas and Lexus:P
There are several things that can cause your 1995 Chevy Cavalier transmission not to go into drive or reverse. The most common cause is a lack of transmission fluid. A broken shifting fork will also cause the problem.
* cause it needs to be put in drive to go forward
drive shaft could be out of balance or tires could be out of round
it will drive but when in reverse it wont move
No it will not. Sounds like the transmission has a major problem.
its just the way polaris 4wd works. to get it working, stop the wheels spinning, hold the reverse override button, then go and u have 4wd in reverse :) its a bloodey pain, but that's why i have a Honda ;)
It depends on if it ie front or rear wheel drive or 3 wheel drive. If it is 4 wheel drive, it is not good and will cause problems. If it is either front or rear wheel drive keep the wheels the same on the drive wheels ie. front wheel drive, keep the 17 or 16 inch wheels on the front but make sure they are the same.
All wheel drive has power going to all 4 wheels all the time 4 wheel drive has power going to 2 wheels and 4 wheels when it is selected
check plugs, check resistance in your wires cap, rotor mounts to motor, trans. fluids, lift it up rear wheels up and look under it while its in drive shift it in/out of drive be carefull!
No, not until you switch the front license plates and wheels with the back ones. Then you're good to go (in reverse).
If the car is facing up a hill, simply put the car in nuetral. :D When placed in "reverse" an extra gear is added to the chain of gears in the transmission which causes the final drive to the wheels to turn in the opposite direction.
