This engine I am assuming one of the military types are sensitive to fuel supply problems and fuel filter issues. Drain the water traps clean or replace all the fuel filters. verify the oil pressure with a known good mechanical gauge the oil pressure may be too low. The cutoff will shut the engine down when the oil pressure is too low.
