radiator fan relay has failed. It is found in the fuse box under the hood.
MY 1995 DAKOTA got hot because the radiator was rusted out. The fins on the radiator would crumble just by touching it. Replaced radiator, problem solved.
Low coolant? Cooling system airbound? Low coolant? Cooling system airbound?
In the cooling system it transfers heat out through the radiator. If mixed with the gasoline, it can cause rough running or no start. If pulled in through the air filter it can cause a catastrophic failure.
Possibly a clogged or restricted radiator Low coolant Cooling fan not working Thermostat not opening fully
it happen too my 01 dodge Dakota the sensor is beside the throttle positin sensensor
broken motor mount
Cooling system leak or engine overheating and steam escaping from the radiator cap.Cooling system leak or engine overheating and steam escaping from the radiator cap.
Well, It has to be in the cooling system. Try flushing out the radiator, change the thermostat. It only costs a couple bucks anyway. If it still doing it your water pump may not be working properly. Or there is a blockage in your radiator somewhere. It is a start.
Leaking injector is the most common cause.
The first step is to find out how it is getting in there. Normal cause is a failed transmission cooler. That may be part of the radiator itself. After the cause is repaired, you will have to flush the cooling system until there is no more oil in it.The first step is to find out how it is getting in there. There are a few things that can cause a 1999 Dodge Dakota to sputter. For example, the battery may be malfunctioning or the park plugs can be going bad.
The radiator cooling fan is most likely not working.
Yes, a bad O2 sensor would cause a 2002 Dodge Dakota to stall. It would also cause bad fuel mileage and hard idling within the vehicle.
Failed radiator transmission cooler.
A possible cause could be that you have a clogged heater core.
Cause its broke!
A very likely cause is a failed radiator fan.A very likely cause is a failed radiator fan.
Broken water pump.
If it is not diesel, you probably have a fouled or disconnected plug.
the radiator cap is a pressure regulating device if it is blocked for some reason the pressure in the cooling system could blow it off
A blown radiator hose could not cause a 2000 Dodge Durango to not have spark and not start unless the heat damaged the computer in the vehicle. Sometimes when an engine overheats, the computer that controls the firing can be damaged.
Try the throttle position sensor
Lots of things. But probably a clogged heater core.
Failed coil/plug wire.
1 simple cause may be a damage radiator cap or simply low fluid.
