What would cause air and sputtering in water lines?
Well, my problem is fixed. I had a Culligan Super S whole house filter installed yesterday. The problem is now gone. I can't figure out why this cured the problem other than adding a little bit of restriction immediately after the water tank. This would be easy to duplicate. Just close the valve after the tank a little and see if this cures the problem. A failed air volume control valve located at the pressure tank could allow air to escape from the tank and into the water system. The valve may not be bleeding off extra air in the tank. Turn off the power to the well pump and turn on a faucet until all the water and air is gone. Turn off the faucet and turn the power on for the well. If this solves the problem for short time(a week or two)then replace the valve.
What would cause dicolored water in a well system in the house but not staight off the pump itselfnot gritty water or undergrnd lines from pump to house?
What would cause my 1995 Nissan Pick up with a 2.4 liter automatic sputtering at 35 to 40 mph and loses acceleration?
Well, how was hydroelectricity formed. First of all people built dams in order to make a reservoir ( man made lake). All the water from the reservoir would then go down the penstock ( a water tube). The penstock would then lead into the turbine ( fan with spinning blades ) . Water would then strike the blade and cause the blade to rotate. The rotating motion would then cause electricity. The generator would guide…
What would cause there to be no hot water in only one bathroom sink tub and shower - Everything comes out cold only?
It depends on your system. If your on city water you should be able to pull off the airaters on the sinks and open up all your fixtures until the air is out. If your on a well you could try the same thing. If it doesen't work on a well it could be that your well pump isn't filling your tank as fast as your booster pump is suplying your lines while your using…
Would a vacuum hose cause my 2001 to spit and sputter and lose power Just replaced fuelfilter about 6 month ago and when you dive like it its like the tranny slips not coil or plugs?
OK....so it's not the plugs or the coil. Spitting and sputtering sounds electrical. These computer controlled engines can be extremely hard to diagnose. You might try replacing the distributor cap and rotor. A small crack can cause some very significant spitting and sputtering. After that it's time to put it on an engine analyzer.
What would cause a loss of hot water and pressure in one bathroom when you have water running in both bathrooms?
THE THING THAT CAUSES YOU TO LOSE PRESSURE AND HOT WATER IS BOTH BATHROOMS ARE CONNECTED TO THE SAME LINES. SO WHEN YOU RUN SOMETHING, THEN RUN SOMETHING ON THE OTHER SIDE, YOU LOOSE POWER THAT YOU WOULD NORMALY HAVE IF ONLY ONE BATHROOM IS ON. THERE IS NO QUICK FIX, TO FIX YOU MUST REPLACE ONE OF THOSE LINES WITH NEW ONES PROBABLY FROM THE BASEMENT. ITS ALOT OF WORK, AND COSTLY. JOE HOJAS
High winds can knock down power lines, which can cause pumps to stop working in city water systems. This would cause the water pressure to decrease, possibly enough to allow bacteria in the ground to enter cracks in older water lines, thereby contaminating the water supply. This is often the reason for municipal governments to issue orders for citizens to boil their water before using it for drinking or cooking. In addition, lost power can…
This can vary on the power lines and trees. Typically it would not be the snow, but the ice, which would cause problems, though. Icicles forming on overhead power lines, weighing them down, or icicles on tree branches, causing them to bend or break and fall into the power lines, would be the most common problems in winter weather, rather than a certain amount of snowfall.
