Just a thought.... Light bulbs have a certain life span. If you put two light bulbs in at the same time and they get used equally they should burn out at approximately the same time. Maybe the correct answer is more complicated than that, but I certainly would hope not. I would put new bulbs in and see what happens. If the go out in a short while you have bigger problems. I have replace bulbs at home and in my car to have another one burn out just days or even hours later.
The correct grammar would be "Why would both of your headlights blow out at the same time".
If just one headlight quit working it probably burned out. If both headlights quit working at the same time the fuse probably blew.
Both '01 and '02 headlights will fit the '02, headlights from '99 or '00 will not as they are longer and would not fit in the same space.
If you put the bulbs in at the same time, they would die out at the same time.
Check your fuses.
If both headlights went out at the same time it could be a blown fuse or a failed headlight relay.
sounds like you have a blowen fuse
The first thing I would check would be the headlight fuses. (There may be one fuse per headlight.) Also, examine the headlights carefully for any damage.
Yes both headlights can burn out at the same time, I had it happen once, it is rare. If both high and low beams are out, then I would think that it might be the switch. You could get a cheap test light and check the plug to see if there is current to the lights.
Faulty ground to the dash.
Check fuses if there is one specific for the lights (not interior) Find it funny that both would burn out at the same time so would imagine it is in the switch.
I have same issue ill start the car and parts of my clusterlights are dark but will randomly brighten once it feels like it headlights do the same thing also my right blinker stops working randomly
