Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning

What would cause the inside part of your air conditioning to frost over?

The Thermostat is not cycling the compressor off causing the

evaporator to become solid with ice therefore decreasing the units

ability to cool the air. Because air flow over the evaporator is

greatly reduced due to ice blockage. Your coils are in need of a

good cleaning or you have a leak in the system... probably the

first. A good service call can get this done and is relatively

inexpensive. This is something that an advanced handyman can do but

i would suggest against it if you are not familiar with HVAC

systems. Call A professional if possible... it will save you time

and money in the long run. Hope this helps Terry
