Ribosomes are the organelles that build proteins within the cell. Without protein, the cell could not form structural units, transport any matter between the interior and exterior, or create enzymes. As a result the cell would die.

Ribosomes play a vital role in cellular function. They "read" the information encoded in mature RNA and based on that , make a protein. Proteins perform core functions in the cell like enzymatic catalysis, gene regulation and cell signalling.

Most living creatures have ribosomes in their cells ; those that don't "hijack" the ribosome machinery of the cell they are invading.

Ribosomes make proteins from all amino acids. If a cell did not contain functional ribosomes, it would stop protein production. Proteins are necessary for making enzymes, which cause us to stay alive by speeding up metabolic reactions. If ribosomes weren't functioning properly, one might feel tired and exhausted, however many cells need to contain disfunctional ribosomes if it were to have any affect on the person.

Ribosomes are the sites of protein synthesis, where RNA is translated into protein. When cells need large numbers of proteins, they must first build numerous ribosomes.

Because protein synthesis is so important to cells, there are large numbers of ribosomes found throughout cells, often numbering in the hundreds or thousands. In eukaryote cells, three of the four ribosomal RNA strands are synthesized in the nucleolus, a structure in the nucleus. The fourth ribosomal RNA strand is synthesized outside of the nucleolus and then transported into the nucleolus for ribosomes assembly. Ribosomal proteins enter the nucleolus and combine with the four ribosomal RNA strands to create the large and small subunits which are two ribosomal structures.

Ribosomes are necessary for the production of proteins. Without them, this will not happen and the cell will die.

What would happen to an animal cell if it didint have ribosomes?

It would die because it wouldn't be able to make the proteins necessary for its structure and its function.

What would happen to an animal cell if it didn't have ribosomes?

Ribosomes are responsible for protein synthesis. If they are absent it affects the protein synthesis, which indirectly effects health. Therefore victims suffer from malnutririon such as Marasmus,Kwashiorkor.

What would happen to a animal that does not ribosomes?

I'm answering this as 'What would happen to an animal that does not have ribosomes?' Ribosomes are the main site for DNA translation, where the genetic code (held in DNA) is translated into a sequence of amino acids. Three 'bases' or segments in the DNA molecule code for one amino acid. The amino acids then join together to form proteins, the building blocks of life. Therefore, if there were no ribosomes, no proteins would be produced and, therefore, the animal would quickly die. I'm not sure if there are any animals which do not have ribosomes, and have worked out another way to synthesise DNA...

What would happen if all the ribosomes in your body disappeared?

This cannot possibly happen, so asking what would happen if it did happen is an exercise in stupidity.

What would happen when ribosomes are absent?

the correct amino acids won't be transfered to the ribosomes and the protein synthesis would fail. PLATO says so.
