This assumes that specialization occurred initially in order for the body to exsist.

If no specialization occurred initially the cell would simply replicate until the mass of

cells could no longer absorb enough nutrients and then the inner most cells would

die of "starvation". This is the type of thing that happens with a number of cancers.

The interior of the cell mass dies and either ruptures or the liquified contents remain in situ.

Once specialization occurs the cells can only produce like cells and any inability of the cell to specialize further would be moot.

one would end up just as a blob since all the cells would be the same and there would ben no brain or skin or any other organ. I guess the cells will probably just die out. But I don't think that it is possible.

Examples of cell specialization?

Cell specialization is the process in which a generic cell develops into a specific type of cell. This happens in response to specific triggers from the body or the cell itself. Three examples of specialized cells are the sperm cell, the fat cell, and the white blood cell.

What is cell specialization(differentiation)?

The specialization of a Cell occurs in two phases: first Differentiation and second Determination.

What is cell differentiation and cell specialization?

Cell differentiation is when a less specialized cell changes into a more specialized cell. In multicellular organisms there are many specialized cells who get their jobs through cell specialization. Cell specialization changes a specialized cell into whatever type of cell the organism needs at the moment.
