If all the consumers in a food chain died, only the lowest rung of a food chain (the autonomic non-consumer) would survive.
The consumers would die of starvation.
malulugi
the food chain would have to change
Herbivores would be forced to range wider.
The consumers would die of starvation.
the food chain would die/end
I think that if all insects died, since they are at the bottom of the food chain all other animals that feed from them would start diyng and eventually would get to us human too.
Very simple. The whole food chain would crumble apart. Pygmy Rabbits are first level consumers; herbivores that eat Sagebush as a main dish. If they died, their many predators would suddenly be left without a food source. Most of their predators are carnivores; they can't eat the Sagebrush that Pygmy Rabbits eat!
eventually all of the consumers that eats those plants (producers) would die off or move to a different habitat. But this will most likely not happen because it would be very hard to permanently destroy all of the producers in that biome.
it depends, doo you a food chain with only one preditor, or two or more? if one then the food chain is out of wack if two or more then the one that went extinced well then the other preditors will haves more food
Most of them would lose money from farming/ plant growing, this would also have a great doubt on whether people can eat healthy because all the produce like fruits and tea leafs are gone. Most of the consumers would fall into a great depression, and would be forced to eat other nutritional foods.
the food chain would be totally messed up other animals would be eating different animals making predation worse and causing the popluation to decrease. hope that helps Astred
