if the trees in the ecosystem were destroyed then we wouldn't be able to get that oxygen that we need and so we wouldn't be able to get energy by eating food. also we wouldn't be able to live because animals get energy by eating other animals but some eat plants also.So if animals don't eat anything then we wouldn't be able to live.we get energy by eating animals and plants but some people don't eat meat because they're vegetarians.also we wouldn't be able to get calcium or nutrients from plants or from dairy farms to get food. also

Trees are an important part of the carbon cycle, taking in carbon dioxide and giving off oxygen. They are an immense source of atmospheric oxygen. If vast areas of forests are cleared, humans will lose an important source of carbon recycling and the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will grow very quickly.

If all the trees were cut down the carbon cycle would be very badly affected. There would be more CO2 in the air and less O2, which is not good for us humans. Plant and soil life would also be badly affected.

Extensive deforestration affects the oxyegn cycle if we continued to cut down our forest which produces a lot of oxygen. if there is less oxygen there will be more corbon dioxiede which is not so good at all.

Forests are one of the agents in the carbon cycle, moving carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and storing it in the trunks, roots and branches of the trees. The carbon remains stored until the trees rot, or are burned. So forests act as storage sinks in the carbon cycle, keeping great amounts of carbon out of the atmosphere, and keeping the greenhouse effect balanced and controlled.

Deforestation, when forests are destroyed, means that the carbon storage disappears and much more carbon dioxide remains in the air. This extra carbon dioxide captures more heat (infrared heat, rising from the earth's surface) and is causing global warming.

A:

Deforestation means cutting down forests. Removing forests interferes with the earth's ability to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, so the amount of CO2 greenhouse gas remains high.

How does burning affect the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?

Burning anything releases carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, as most things are largely made of carbon. Burning vegetation is really part of the carbon cycle, but burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) in industry, transport and the generation of electricity, releases carbon dioxide that has been sequestered underground for 300 million years. This is why carbon dioxide levels are increasing in the atmosphere.

Where does carbon dioxide originate?

Carbon dioxide is the result of burning carbon or carbon containing materials.

How does logging and cutting down trees affect global warming in Los Angeles?

Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the air. They store the carbon and release the oxygen. They do this during all the time they are growing. Logging and cutting down trees means they are not taking carbon dioxide from the air. Because carbon dioxide is the major greenhouse gas causing global warming, cutting down trees increases the warming. Global warming means 'all over the world'. So cutting down trees in Indonesia will affect the warming in Los Angeles. Cutting down trees in Los Angeles will affect global warming in Djakarta.

Why does cutting down trees increase carbon dioxide?

Trees and other plants absorb carbon dioxide.

What type of events can increase atmospheric carbon dioxide?

Humans burning coal, oil and natural gas increases atmospheric CO2.Deforestation, cutting down trees, means that less carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere.Volcanic eruptions can put carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, but not nearly as much as fossil fuels.

How does burning fossil fuels affect the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?

The burning of fossil fuels affects the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by increasing it.

How does burning fossil fuels affect the atmosphere?

because it will release carbon dioxide in to the air

How does burning fossil fuel affect the rate of weathering?

Burning fossil fuels affect the rate of weathering by releasing carbon dioxide into the air, polluting theenvironment. As more carbon dioxide is released into the air, more carbonation can occur, creating more acids to weather the area's rocks.

What gases will extinguish a burning splint?

carbon dioxide

Can carbon dioxide come from fire?

Yes. Burning carbon or a carbon compound will produce carbon dioxide.

Does burning coal give off carbon dioxide?

Yes, the burning of any hydrocarbon produces carbon dioxide. This equation illustrates the burning of a hydrocarbon.CH4 + 2O2 → CO2 + 2H2O + energyAs you can see carbon dioxide is produced along with water and energy.Yes burning coal or any carbon based fuel produces carbon dioxide.

When you burn vegetation how does it affect carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere?

Burning vegetation adds to the carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. However, that carbon dioxide was recently removed from the air when the plants were growing, so burning vegetation is carbon neutral.Burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas), of course, releases extra carbon dioxide that has been hidden away for 300 million years.

How has the burning of fossil fuels affect the carbon cycle?

Burning fossil fuels has released large amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. As a result, the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased. Some claim this results in global warming.

How does cars put carbon dioxide into the air?

Burning gasoline releases the carbon dioxide.
