What would make a 1994 Dodge Caravan 3.3 backfire in park or when stopped at lights?

your timing is off that van is famous for warped heads get a compression test done on it try having a diognostic test by a mechanic and see if the map sensor is reading the correct voltage i had this problem and did everything i bet its the map sensor its about 50 bucks at auto zone and sits right nexto the throttle body Good luck James
