WHEN YOU TURN THE CAR ON TO ACCESSORIES ONLY, DO YOU GET POWER? SUCH AS DOME LIGHTS, THE BELL THAT SIGNIFIES THAT YOUR KEY IS IN THE IGNITION, AND THINGS LIKE THAT. IF SO TRY CLEANING THE THROTTLE BODY WITH CARBORATOR CLEANER. MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA AND HAVE PLENTY OF TOWELS TO CLEAN UP THE FLUID AND DIRT THAT COMES OUT OF THE THROTTLE BODY. IF THAT DOESN'T HELP, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR STARTER IS WORKING. IF YOU YOU HEAR A CLICKING NOISE AND THE ENGINE DOESN'T TURN ON, THAT COULD BE YOUR PROBLEM. IF NOT, CHECK YOUR SPARK PLUG CONNECTIONS. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DID A TUNE UP? ALSO, CHECK YOU DISTRIBUTER TO MAKE SURE ALL CONTACT POINTS ARE GOOD. BEFORE YOU DO ALL OF THE ABOVE, CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE BATTERY IS GOOD. TRY AND GET IT TESTED. IF THE BATTERY IS GOOD TRY THE ABOVE SUGGESTIONS.
I would start by checking the battery and fuses.
Mitsubishi eclipse is famous because of failing transmission. If I were you I would start with checking transmission fluid level. But most likely you will have to change transmission or fix one you have.
it would be in the back midright of the motor its hard to describe but its slanted to the right.
Cooling fan not functional/low coolant/bad thermostat. Start there.
Could be a bad CV joint. It would make a popping noise.
i have a 02 Mitsubishi eclipse gt v6 and the oil capacity is 4 quarts and 1/5...i don't know if this would help
I would Invest in a Haynes Manual.
Well, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the vehicle or automobile's company to inquire about getting the right parts personally, yourself.
just buy the ANY MAKE AND MODEL. when i asked for some for my 2001 eclipse they said that would be perfect.
I am going to help you where no one did for me this is the actual factory service manual your local dealer uses in the repair shop it will answer anything you would want to know. http://www.onlinefreeebooks.net/automotive-machinery-power-equipment-ebooks/mitsubishi/2000-2002-mitsubishi-eclipse-eclipse-spyder-service-manual-pdf.html
i am pretty sure if you want an antenna on your Mitsubishi Eclipse i would recommend you go to a auto shop or a place where people customize they're cars
No. The radio or amp would be fused, but not the speakers.
if its the 2.4 liter its the exact same motor so yes, this would be possible
Thermostat would be my first guess, If not is a fan blown, do a radiator flush?
It would be hard to get into gear and would make grinding noises when shifting.
I had the same problem with my Eclipse it was the spyder turbo i had put cheap gas in it. went to 93 octane had no problems.
A battery starting to go bad can cause a hard start in the morning. It would get worse in time. Have it tested for free at any auto parts store.
Two. New(right) Answer: The 4 cylinder motor in a 2001 eclipse is a 4g64 or 4g69 which are both SOHC motors which means there Single Over Head Cams. So the correct answer would be 1 not 2.
bad switch off the steering column.
well it would most likely be in the alternator as with most other cars
the fastest car under 15 grand would have to be the Mitsubishi eclipse gst
Starting problems in a Mitsubishi Eclipse GST 1995 could be caused by a weak battery or an alternator that does not charge. You might also have gotten a bad starter when you replaced that one.
bad cv joints check under the car and see if there is a rubber boot on the drive shaft connection to the wheel
please be more descriptive.... if it is constant moaning it could be a wheel bearing.. if not it could be lots of things.
There are many reason for that. I would start from cleaning the throttle body, then idle control valve, rubber hoses responsible for vacuum in the system. It would be a great idea to check your ECU for error codes.
