The dash light dimmer switch is turned off or bad or the fuse is blown
A blown fuse can make your dashboard lights to not work in your 1993 Chevy Blazer Tahoe. A burned out bulb can also cause this.
Be sure that the dash light brightness control switch is not turned off.
Might be a weak battery
the dash and radio lights are supposed to dim when the headlights come on. Make sure you have the brightness of the dash lights turned up as much as possible.
Your entire automobile electrical system is grounded to the frame of the vehicle. A loose or corroded ground wire can cause the dash lights to Flickr and the car to stall out.
Without knowing make/model, I would say check the panel light fuse. Probably labled "PNL".
turn the lights on and make sure the dimmer is not turned all the way down
Check the fuses to start with. Make sure that the dimmer switch is on high and working. If these are ok, then check for bad wiring connections to the dash lights.
good guess but no that would only make sense if the dash didnt light up either... check ur column there is a problem with ur ignition switch... that's my guess at least... pull it off and check the switch there has to be a few wires either loose or burned up
your fuse is blown. car manufacturerers make the dash lights go off when the tail light fuse blows so you know it is blown.
Which connection? The dash is in the dash, the tail lights is in the rear hatch area...you can find a wiring diagram and info in a shop manual at the library...you need to make copies as they are reference only...:)
Check the coolant system to make sure you are not low. An air bubble going through the heater core can make an odd sound.
