it depends on what you mean...
the earth without plant life is not good. the earth is essentially plant life, so in essence it would just be a floating rock. But the earth without human life-- now that's a different question. Without human life it would just go on the same way it always would. Nature eating, protecting, and producing nature. the weather would be purely natural. But there would be no evolution. No discoveries, explorations, nourishment, and tipping the cycle of life. Human life has both tainted and expanded the natural world. And that is my lecture on 'what would earth be like without life?'
Plants gives out oxygen and they get that oxygen from us exhaling carbon dioxide. If there were no plants we wouldn't be able to breath. Earth would probably be the same, just with any oxygen.
Boring. It is argued that, had the primitive plants not evolved on earth 3 billion years ago, the carbon dioxide buildup would have been too much for Earth to handle. The greenhouse effect occurring today would have escalated, turning earth into a dried up, scorched desert. So, to answer the question, Earth would likely be a lifeless, hot (very) desert.
Anteater might have to find a new source of food or die of hunger
plants can't spread pollen
frogs need to find more kinds of food or die of hunger
animals that eat insects have to die of hunger or find new kind of food
cats can't play with flies or crickets
no sound from crickets at night
without soil, there are no plants. without plants, there is no oxygen. without oxygen, animals couldn't survive. there would be no life at all. picture a barren planet in our solar system: sort of lik that. It would also be very, very hard. Without soil, there would be little more on the surface than water and rock. Not nice.
Earthworms, especially red wigglers, are great decomposers, and great for growing healthy, strong plants. They are also vital in the food chain, as so many animals eat them. The world without worms would need more bees for pollinating and helping plants grow. Many animals would also struggle and have to find other food sources.
Earthworms are known to feast on waste material in the ground. The world would seem much dirtier. Many birds feed on worms as a main diet. They would have to find a new source.
Agriculture is a primary resource, where farmers grow plants from the earth or soil, and animals eat plants that are grown from the soil. Without soil or plants there would be no agriculture, nor would there be food for all animal life.
Without soil, humankind would have a tough time feeding the billions of people that depend on products that is produced by soil. Without soil there would be no fresh corn, beans, etc... Also with soil needs, some animals burrow under ground to live so soil is like a habitat for some animals.
Soil is important because without it there would be no plants and without plants we have no oxygen unless your an alein
Crumbly, bits of earth.
rocks would erode and eventually create more soil. otherwise who cares
there would be no life. earth would just be... earth! without ANYTHING! that includes water, soil, sand... etc.
no

What the Latin word "terra" means in English is Earth or land.Earth, land, or soil.
your soil would be bad earth worms help the soil
B/c the animals provide feces, and soil, and destroying an animal would cause aliens to kill jfk

Disastrous result. We wouldn't be able to grow crops, so there would be famine. Without the ground, the earth would deplete until it was nothing but the bedrock layer which is VERY far underground.
they would die and their decaying bodies would become soil
They live there like we live on earth.
