You never know, as it depends on the dogs and their personality. I have a mini dachshund (male) who loves all other dogs he has ever been around. However, my sister who lives with me got a male toy poodle. They do not get along at all. My dachshund was neutered before the poodle arrived, and the poodle got neutered when he was age appropriate. They have been in a dominance struggle since arrival. The poodle is very mean and temperamental to the dachshund. The dachshund has had a personality change. Its strange. I think that it is related to something about the personality of the poodle, which I understand is common for their breed. They are in the top of the list for agression and biting. I would consider this before I brought them into a home together. I would also get a male and female instead of the same sexes. Being neutered doesnt seem to have helped these two. Hope this helps.
