Apparently, the year and person(s) who discovered sulfur

are unknown to science. We do know it was used up to 2000 years before the birth of Christ by pagan priests.

This individual did not discover sulfur since it was known to the ancients. He did, however, discover phosphorus around 1669, as mentioned in his wikipedia article.

Hennig Brand didnt find sulfur it was found 2000 years before Christ by ancient egyptians however Antoine Lavoisier discovered that sulfur was a element and not a compound in 1777
