What year did Jesus begin to teach?

There is much disagreement on this date range and many differing answers. There are some who will note that Jesus began His ministry at about 30 years of age and it lasted 3 1/2 years. These same biblical scholars have dated the Crucifixion event to April 31 A.D. This would make His ministry beginning in circa September-October 27 A.D. - Jewish years begin and end differently than the common Julian calendar.

Traditionally our AD dates began at Jesus' birth, so his teaching was for the three years after he began his ministry at 30 years of age and in the year 30 AD Another answer:The gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke can be read to indicate that Jesus was actively engaged in a teaching ministry for only one year: they do not have sufficient time-markers to identify his years of ministry. However, from the Gospel of John, we know that Jesus' teaching ministry probably lasted for 3 years, and this is thought to be from AD 27 to AD 30, when he was crucified.

This question has many answers as the Scripture is not explicit with these dates. Taking the Gospels together and noting the various 'Sabbath' or Annual Holy Days, many have concluded that Jesus' ministry lasted 3 1/2 years. Indeed, this would satisfy the prophecy of Daniel 9. The Messiah was cut off in the midst of a week, or after 3 1/2 years of His earthly ministry, as well as on a Wednesday, the middle of a literal week.

Sir Isaac newton, who few realize was a staunch Bible searcher for the date of the end-time, fully believed that Jesus' ministry lasted 4 Passovers - the last being the day of His crucifixion in 31 A.D. - on a Wednesday.

In line with the above, here is a reference concerning what Archaeologists generally date as the start of Christ's ministry - the year A.D. 27:

"The beginning of Jesus' public ministry," writes Archaeology professor John McRay, "is dated by synchronisms [chronological arrangements of events and people] in the Gospel of Luke (3:1-2). A date of A.D. 27 seems likely . . . The dates mentioned by Luke are rather well established . . ." ( Archaeology and the New Testament, 1997, p. 160).

There's no recorded year, of when Jesus began to teach. However, The Bible shows that he began teaching as a young boy. He would be within the temple, and either discussing or teaching on religious topics.

He probably taught by example his whole life, but I think he started teaching apostles and disciples around 26 AD, when he was maybe around 30 years old.
