Megalodon sharks then died after the medieval times. (but not 100% sure) One of the effects to this would be based on food and hunters who hunt them because of their babies they would have to try their best to protect them in every way possible. Some creatures who hunt megalodons babies are orcas (kiler whales) and Great White Sharks . More killer whales are beginning to hunt on the creatures that the Megalodons hunt! Therefore megalodonns have died out through time. Also you may think that megalodons could eat a great white whole or something but they can't because a great white was still "king of the seas and the most powerful of the seas" (no one could take him down even though a megalodon is about 2 times bigger)
^That guy is crazy, thinking that they died out after medival times when it died out millions of years ago. You seriously think a Megalodon can't swallow a great white whole when its THREE times bigger. I'm pretty sure that this guy has no idea about megalodons and that he shouldn't be answering your question before doing any research.
Paleontologists belive C. megalodon went extinct about 1.5 My ago, a blink of an eye in geologic terms.
That is the confirmed date for the more recent megalodon's fossil tooth.
Kindly remember this fossil hardly belonged to the very last megalodon alive in the oceans...
It probably went extinct 1.5 million years ago.
Carcharodon megalodon became extinct in the Early Pleistocene Epoch, about 1,500,000 years ago.
The great megaladon went extinct within the last 50,000 years, most scientists believe.
They were real. They are believed to be extinct. But you never now...
Adult megalodons probably had no enemies, they are extinct now.
Megalodon does still exist.
There were no Megalodon in 2008. They became extinct about 1.5 million years ago.
The ecosystem that Megalodon lived in was the ocean. Their fossils show that they lived in all of the oceans of the world between 28 and 1.5 million years ago.
There are likely several reasons why the Megalodon Shark became extinct: -The rise of the Panama isthmus blocked off breeding grounds -Killer Whales may have preyed on Megalodons -Great White Sharks out-competed the juveniles -Whales became faster and were harder to catch -The climate became colder and Whales moved to warmer waters
Yes, there were a few cases of shipwrecks caused by megalodons.
None. They're all extinct. yet scientist believe that some still exist, and they could have lived thousands of feet underwater for the last thousands of years.
only one is still in the ocean at the Atlantic ocean people heard. and fyi, id stay away and let the army or fishers take care of it.
Megalodons are extinct but some people think that they are still alive. But we can't go telling people that they are still alive because if we do that might be a lie. And we can't go down into the deep and explore because we would die from lack of oxygen and we don't have the right equipment to go down and explore. But even today people still say that they have seen megalodons.
Megalodons were prehistoric marine animals, like giant sharks. They very likely did lay eggs.
Nothing really could have been done to save megalodons because they went extinct around 1.5 million years ago and the first completely modern humans arrived about 4,000 years ago. So we could not have done anything. Mostly they died because of the climate. Thus, if the climate had not become that much more colder, they might not have become extinct, but then the world would be different now anyway, if the climate had not changed in that time.
