no records of serialization exist prior to 1964 for Browning .380's. The Model 1922 was manufactured from 1922 to 1959 so it falls outside the records dates. There were several hundred thousand of them made by the Nazis from 1940-1944. If your gun has the markings from that era then that was when it was made and that makes it somewhat more valuable.
if it has a waa103 mark it has some prewar parts and has a little higher value if it has waa140 a little lower value there both German
You must call Browning. SN does not follow normal convention.

If you have the FN 1900, also called the Browning #1, it was produced from 1899-1907 and there were 700,000 made. It will have "Fabrique Nationale-Herstal-Belgique (Brownings Patent)" inascribed on the left side of the pistol. Under that it will have Fabrique Nationale's icon with a small picture of a pistol and a circle around it. Under that it will have " BREVETE-S.G.D.G." which is a french term for the patent process. It was used on many things including clocks. Hope this helps.

You need to describe the stamp, and to which gun model are you referring to? The first Browning designed gun made by FN was a pistol in 1899. Even though the Browning Arms Co. was not in existence at that time, FN produced and sold the guns with the stamping "Brownings Patent" on all guns they made. auto5man
Which weapons did you have in mind? You could be thinking of anything from small arms up to artillery pieces and short range ballistic missiles. The M9 pistol is made by Beretta USA. The M16 rifles have been manufactured by Colt and Fabrique Nationale USA. The M4 carbine is manufactured by Colt, although the Army has opened the design to competing companies. The M249s were made by Fabrique Nationale USA, as are the M240s. My brother used nuclear landmines while stationed in Germany. Would those be included in your list? Several contractors manufactured various parts of those.
