There are 5 days that liquor stores have to close. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years day, Labor Day, and the 4th. I am pretty sure of this. I always think Memorial day is one, but I don't think so. Easter also, but since that is on a Sunday, that is a given.
Cheap wine can be found at major chain stores such as Walmart or Kroger. Sometimes liquor stores will have close outs or sales too. You can buy cheap wine easily, but it won't always taste the best.

The closest fishing lodges are a few hours drive from Anchorage, or an 80 mile flight by sea plane. There is great fishing in the Anchorage area but no fishing lodges close by.
