On most 90s Mazdas the firing is controlled by the crankshaft position sensor that sends a signal to the ignition coil telling it when to spark, on v6 models the sensor is located underneath and to the right of the crankshaft pulley on the passenger side of the car.

No spark? are you sure? then probably bad crank sensor, or ignition module.
the main things is wiring .check for power.and the fuses aswell as the crank angle sensor on the crank shaft.its in the front of the engine by the crank pulley secured in place by 1 10mm bolt By ivan from SA
beware you need to get one that is designed for that type of fire using the wrong type could make things a lot worse

if the crank sensor is bad it does not tell the computer that the crank is turning it will not fire up the engine.
May just be jammed. You could of cocked it more than once so there might be to many balls loaded so its stuck.
