When I sync music onto my iPod it erases the current music on there with the newly synced music Is there a way to stop this?

If there is music that is not on your computer or synced to your computer the computer will replace it with things it recognizes AKA music on your computer. to fix go on your iPod menu in iTunes and click do not auto sync when plugged. also click manually manage music and you can put on your music from your computer on your ipod and be happy.
