When and where did the story Chronicles of Narnia took place?
The Chronicles of Narnia took place in both England and Narnia. It occurred during and shortly after World War 2.
Two answers: In the actual order in which the Chronicles of Narnia were written, and originally published by MacMillan, the fourth book is The Silver Chair. When Harper-Collins took over publication, Lewis's stepson Douglas Gresham recommended they be published according to Narnian chronology. Then, the fourth book became Prince Caspian.
The books span the entire existence of Narnia from start to finish, the first book (the Magician's Nephew) shows the very beginning of Narnia, and the year 1900 on Earth. The second takes place much later in Narnia, and around WW2 era on Earth. The last book shows the downfall of Narnia and it is unclear what period it is on Earth, although Peter, Eustace, Lucy, Jill, Polly, and Digory are still alive.
The first Chronicle of Narnia, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, was published in 1950 and the first segment of The Lord of the Rings, "The Fellowship of the Ring," was published in 1954. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was begun in 1939 and finished 1948-49. The Lord of the Rings took over 10 years to write, and was mostly written in the 1940-early 50s. so the answer is Narnia.
Narnia is both a country, and a world of its own. Other countries in the Narnian universe include Ettinsmoor, Archenland, and Calormen. In the upcoming movie, "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," some of the other smaller countries will be explored. Both…

The final short story, The Sword of Hades, which I cannot find online, took place between…
