in February 2009, it was announced that Jigsaw and BBC films would together be adapting The Recruit. It will be directed by christopher smith, shooting may start in the summer of 2010. Muchamore said at one of his school book signings that the film will only begin filming if they have right amount of money so by June if they have the money filming will begin. The film is set to be released either in June 2011 or December 2011. when will the movie be released?
This question depends upon the finance. The most optimistic schedule is that the movie could begin shooting in late 2012 and be released in 2013. However, it might take much longer than this and it is still possible that the movie project could fall through.
What certificate/rating will a CHERUB movie be?
We know very little about the movie at this stage, but it's unlikely that anyone will release a movie based upon a kids' book that kids can't watch, so it will probably be a PG or a 12 certificate.

But the plans are that they will start shooting in 2010 and have the film (hopefully) released by 2011.
If they don't mention open auditions by summer time 2010, then they'll probably cast the child stars through an agency. :)!

∙ 14y agoRobert Muchamore stated that if open auditions were available he would advertise them on his site so you should check his website out. However it is possible that the films arn't made due to the language and sexual content. It may become an 18 film so kids can't really watch that so there's no point of making a film.
