I am pretty sure you are only allowed one child per family in China, because there are so many people in China, they don't want it to be overcrowded. People have to retire at age 50 because it you waited until you were older, then there wouldn't be enough jobs for the younger people.

If you have multiple births like twins, triplets etc. Also is families in most rural areas allowed to have 2 children if the first child is female or disabled. There's also seem to be allowed if you have one child, as in give birth to, and have another in Another Country and then come back.

In China, each family is allowed one child. In some cities, if you have more than one child, it will be killed.
