Steering wheel and brake pedal.

A single knocking noise when braking or turning can be caused by a faulty axle. The cost of replacement is usually around 1,000 dollars.
For the brakes, check for warped rotors. For the turning, check for worn CV joints.
Only if it's previously weakened, by rust, fatigue or something.
you might want to check your left side wheel bearings
When does it make a tapping noise? When your !) braking and turning wheel B) braking c) engine idling D) starting engine E) turning. I mean it just all depends....
It doesn't. The engine uses petrol any time it is running, but not more when braking.
The sound of the braking railroad cars shreiked through the night. Now matter how hard he pushed the pedal, the car was not braking.
When you're braking hard, trying to climb a steep hill or turning hard.
Low coolant causing air bubbles in the heater core.....
You use both front and back brake for braking.
Sounds like it might be a brake pad thickness warning sensor that gets torqued when braking enough to move away from the rotor only when braking forward. It would be worth pulling the wheels off and taking a look.
